Unser
Engel Gisela!!! …wie würde sie sich über diesen Titel beschweren: "Ich
bin gewiss KEIN Engel", hört man Gisela immer wieder betonen, seit ihr
Generalkonsul Frederick Hoffman den "Golden Angel Award" für ihre 22-jährige
engagierte Arbeit beim German Consulate in Detroit und in der gesamten
German-American community verliehen hat.
In diesem einen Punkt sind wir aber ausnahmsweise einmal alle schlauer
als Gisela. Wir wissen nämlich, wie sehr sie diesen Award verdient hat.
Gisela ist -und da sind sich alle einig, die sie kennen- ein wahrer Engel.
Viele von uns kennen Gisela nur von ihrer Arbeit bei der GPWA, aber auch
dort konnten wir uns immer wieder von Giselas auszeichnungs-würdiger Arbeit
überzeugen. Eine GPWA ohne die Engelsgeduld und das kontinuierliche Engagement
von Gisela ist schlichtweg unvorstellbar. Vor allem unsere Präsidentin
Christina weiß, wovon sie spricht. Christina über Gisela: "Du bist immer
für alle da und hast ein Herz aus Gold!".

"Let
me call special attention to the 10th anniversary of the German
Professional Womens Association (GPWA), ...
I am reluctant to single out one group for special praise, but I
do have to say that the GPWA has provided outstanding service to
its members and the German-American community in a relatively short
time -- and I am very proud of them!
I never cease to be amazed at all of the projects, activities, programs
and initiatives these "go-getters" have undertaken. Congratulations!"
