When was the GPWA established?
The GPWA started as an idea to bring German-speaking professional women together in a social setting. The original name of this organization was “Der Deutsche Professional Stammtisch”. Due to its rapidly growing popularity and the increasing number of participants, Christina Griesser decided in 2002 to officially register the organization. The name, GPWA – German Professional Women’s Association, was chosen by the members during one of the many brainstorming session that lead to the formation of the GPWA.

Who founded the GPWA?
Christina Griesser started the original German Professional Stammtisch in 1997. The GPWA was incorporated as an official organization in July 2002.

Guests are welcome to attend one meeting before deciding to obtain membership.

The tip and tax are included in the dinner price at the Marriott.

What happens at the monthly membership meetings?
The meetings provide an opportunity for networking and social interacting. Meetings start at 6:00 pm and usually end around 10 pm. A dinner buffet is available around 7:00 pm. At most meetings, a speaker will present a topic of general interest.

Can I attend a meeting as a guest/member without registering for it?
Guests as well as members are required to confirm their attendance by email (email hidden; JavaScript is required) (guests at least 2 days before the scheduled meeting).
